During the 13th Five Year Plan period, China's aviation logistics achieved good results in terms of development scale, route network, security guarantee, enterprise competitiveness, governance ability and comprehensive benefits, which provided strong support for economic and social development and new impetus for the construction of civil aviation power in the new era. Especially under the global epidemic situation in recent two years, aviation logistics has shown its important strategic role and great potential. In 2020, the freight and mail transportation volume and freight and mail turnover volume of the whole industry will reach 6.766 million tons and 24.02 billion ton kilometers respectively, ranking the second in the world; China's air cargo flights reach 237 cities in China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), connecting 153 cities in 62 countries, including 26 all cargo countries.

Domestically, during the 13th Five Year Plan period, an air cargo network with Beijing Tianjin Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Bay area, Chengdu Chongqing and other airport clusters as the core was formed; Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and other traditional freight enterprises accelerated their transformation, and their services extended to both ends of the aviation logistics chain. Postal, Shunfeng, Yuantong and other delivery logistics enterprises actively strengthened the construction of aviation capacity.
